Every year members bake cookies to take to local fire stations.
East Coast Migrant Project
GFWC Four Corners provides school supplies and holiday stockings to La Familia preschool. This school is part of the East Coast Migrant Head Start Project.
Flight to honor
Our club pays to sponsor one of our members to chaperone a veteran on a trip to Washington, D.C. on the Flight to Honor.
Gifts for teaching
Four Corners donates money to provide local area school teachers classroom supplies.
Heather's Hope
Our club supports domestic violence prevention and awareness programs, like Heather's Hope, with cash donations.
High School Scholarships
Each year GFWC Four Corners provides scholarship opportunities for seniors in Polk and Osceola counties. Two winners receive scholarships that range from $1000 to $1500 each. This year we were able to add a third scholarship for a student attending an art/vocational school.
Pinwheels for Prevention
Club members placed signs and pinwheels at Horizons Elementary and the Haines City Library to remind the community about child abuse prevention.
Polk County Humane Society
We donate funds to help provide shelter, foster care, and permanent homes for abandoned domestic pets.
The Arbor Day Foundation
Members of our club donated trees to Marianne, FL to help rebuild the forests damaged by Hurricane Michael.
St. jude Children‘s Hospital
Members collected over $1000 to help fight childhood cancer. Several participated in the St. Jude‘s Walk/Run on September 26th, 2020.
